IF THEY DO NOT GET AT LEAST FOUR VOLUNTEERS INCLUDING A COOK BEFORE THE END OF NOVEMBER, SADLY THEY WILL HAVE TO CLOSE. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN ,THIS CLUB HAS BEEN A LIFELINE FOR SO MANY PEOPLE FOR SO MANY YEARS!!!

Since being formed in Headcorn in the 1970's and moving to Staplehurst in 1980 The Weald Club for Disabled People has been a lifeline for disabled and infirm people in the area.

Giving them an opportunity to meet weekly, on Fridays in The McCabe Centre, from 9.a.m, to 2.00pm.

These meetings are invaluable enabling members to socialise, enjoy activities and enjoy a nice cooked lunch together.

They have their own Minibus which is used for outings to the coast, shopping, and places of interest. This bus is also used by The Thursday Club.

They desperately need volunteers to help at meetings, escorts for journeys in their mini bus, and above all they need a cook to allow their members to have a cooked lunch.
