(PROHIBITION OF DRIVING)
THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2022
To allow water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has
made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Headcorn Road,
Staplehurst.
A closure is planned from 7th March 2022, with estimated completion by 11th.
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage
on site and the works will be displayed on https://one.network/?tm=126933659
Headcorn Road will be closed in the general vicinity of Magnetic Shields Ltd, to
the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water
connection works are undertaken by South East Water.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Headcorn Road, A229 High
Street, Station Road, Maidstone Road, Staplehurst Road, Linton Hill, B2163
Heath Road, Plough Wents Road, North Street, Sutton Valence Hill, New Barn
Road, Hawkenbury Road and vice versa.
