Staplehurst Parish Council – Holding meetings face to face
Councillors have recently elected to return to holding face to face meetings. Although the national lockdown restrictions have been relaxed, the Council intends to continue to follow the guidelines in the interests of safety of it's residents, Councillors and staff. A risk assessment has been prepared and is available to review Risk Assessment. For the time being, whilst operating under the guidelines, the meetings will be held in the Kathie Lamb Centre, Jubilee Field, Headcorn Road and commence at 7.30pm.
In order to keep meeting time indoors to a minimum, the Full Council and Planning Committee meetings will be held on separate consecutive nights. The next 2 meeting dates are:-
Full Council (10 seats for the public), Monday 19th July, Monday 9th August
Planning Committee (16 seats for the public), Tuesday 20th July, Tuesday 10th August
Members of the public are welcome to attend, although the number of seats is limited (see numbers above) due to social distancing. In the event that more members of the public wish to attend than listed above, the meeting will be adjourned to either meet outside in the open air, or will be postponed until restrictions are lifted.
Should you wish to attend you are requested to review the agenda and papers, published here, in advance of the meeting, and to print and bring any copies that they wish to refer to themselves. Copies will not be provided on the night. This is to minimise the number of touch points. Papers and agendas are published on the Wednesday preceding any meeting. Please ensure you take home any papers you bring with you after the meeting.
Windows and doors will be kept open throughout to assist ventilation. Hand sanitiser will be available on entrance to the hall.
Unless exempt for medical reasons, you will be requested to wear a mask at all times, even when seated. You may remove your mask only when speaking. Please therefore bring a mask with you.
You’ll be asked to either sign in or scan the QR code for track and trace purposes. If you are signing in, your personal details will be kept on file for 21 days after which they will be destroyed.
Should you prefer to submit a question or enquiry to the Council, rather than attend in person, please submit this to the via email to the Clerk by 5.00pm on the Tuesday preceding the meeting.
