Staplehurst Parish Councillors will all be standing down at this year's Parish Council elections on Thursday 2nd May. If they so wish they can re-stand along with anyone else who wishes to be considered as a Parish Councillor.

If you are interested and would like to find out what is involved pop into the parish office Monday – Thursday 9 – 1 pm when staff will be around to answer any questions.

The Closing date for nominations is Friday 5th April at 4pm.

Nomination papers are available from the Electoral Commission website using the link below:
https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/guidance-candidates-parish-council-elections-england/nominations/completing-your-nomination-papers

Please ensure that you include the Local Government Act 1972 pages 2 to 7 as these are part of the nomination paper and preferably on yellow paper because that distinguishes them from the Borough Ward nomination papers.
Hard copies are also available from the Parish Office.

The published timetable can be viewed here but please note forms MUST be returned to Maidstone Borough Council by 4pm on 5th April

MESSAGE FROM MAIDSTONE BOROUGH COUNCIL:

Please note: Nomination papers should be hand-delivered. Please attend Maidstone House Reception (NOT THE LINK) between the hours of 10am and 4pm, any day from Monday 25 March 2024 up to and including Friday 5 April 2024.
There are 22 Wards and 35 Parishes up for election in 2024. We are running a booking system to help with the flow and reduce the waiting time.
It would be in your best interest to make an appointment with the Electoral Services Team.
Please call 01622 602007 or email [email protected] to make an appointment.
